Wearing your aligners

If you you have multiple aligners at home, keep wearing these as normal. You may decide to change each aligner every other week rather than every week to keep them as fresh as possible

If you are on you your last aligner you have don’t panic! You may reduce the number of hours you wear the aligner for but you must wear them every night as the absolute minimum

Hand hygiene

Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before and after removing your aligners

Cleaning your aligners

Keep your aligners clean by brushing them daily. Use a tooth brush with toothpaste or a gentle soap

Brush and floss your teeth after each meal or snack prior to reinserting the aligners

Do not soak your aligners in mouthwash as this can damage the surface of the plastic

If needed you can use Retainer Brite tablets once a week to help keep your aligners clean. Please take care though as they can make the aligner more brittle if used too often!
